Who are we?

One of the most often asked questions we get is what church or denomination do you belong to?  We like to think not from the perspective of where we have come but where we are going.  We are a group of believers in Christ (the son of God, our Savior) who are seeking to "connect the dots" of the Bible.

We do not belong to any religion, church or denomination.  We seek the truth of the Bible and desire to make it our only guiding light.  We have come from many religious backgrounds but now seek to glorify God without the baggage acquired along the way.

We strive to follow God, not man or his teachings and traditions.  Our search has not found a church or denomination that is not doing so in some way.  Many say that they only teach what the Bible says but upon further investigation their denomination has a hierarchy, rules and teachings (doctrines) that are not biblical.

It has been said that there are 36,000 churches or denominations all claiming to be preaching or teaching "the Word".  Most would claim to be led by the Holy Spirit.  Can they all be right?  There are thousands of different beliefs, can the Holy Spirit be leading every one of them?

Mark 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.  God cannot contradict Himself.  He wants there to be only one understanding of the Bible.  It is man and his traditions that mess up the understanding (just as the religious leaders of the 1st century did).

Man has tried to interpret the Bible from his understanding for many, many centuries.  When we started to question, we realized the "dots" do not connect.  We set out to let the Bible interpret itself from God's perspective.  It has been a rewarding journey.  It is not always easy, usually because our understanding from past teachings gets in the way, but as we strive to reason out the scriptures it becomes apparent how it all fits together.

We realize we still have much to learn.  It is commonly mentioned among us that the more we learn, the less we know.  At times, we have had to change our understanding on certain issues along the way and we still approach our study with that in mind. Just like a tree, growth requires change.  If we are not growing we are dying. If we're not willing to be wrong, then we'll never be right.  The Bible really does make sense and it is exciting to see it all "come together".

We hope that you will find this site useful, challenging and honest in our quest to know Yahweh better.
